FROM infinity pools to rooftop cocktails and £8 massages – this hotel has been called the ‘least expensive five star in the world’ by customers.
The Regalia Gold Hotel is in Nha Trang, a coastal resort city in southern Vietnam known for its beaches, diving sites and offshore islands – and you can stay there for £12pp.
The Regalia Gold Hotel is a hit with travellers because of its affordable luxury and inside is a grand entryway with high ceilings, beautiful chandeliers, as well as spiralling staircases.
One of the best spots in the hotel is the infinity pool which is up on the 40th floor, where you can look out over both the city and the beach.
Above the infinity pool is the Star Night Bar which is open from 7am to 10pm where they serve soft drinks and cocktails.
Drinks at the panoramic bar are available from £5. The website adds that it’s the best place to watch the sunset.
On-site, there are two eateries, the Moon Restaurant and the Sun Restaurant, which combine European and Vietnamese specialities.
As for rooms, there are 12 different types, varying from the cheaper standard room with a window up to the extravagant ‘Royal Room’ and ‘President Suite’.
One visitor on Tripadvisor wrote: “The least expensive five star in the world, but still a real five star.”
A 60-minute massage at the hotel costs 300,000 VND, which equates to £8.68.
The hotel is a short walk from Nha Trang Beach, which is a great location for scuba diving.
Through Booking.com we found a room for two at £24 – so if you go there with a friend, that’s just £12 each, and it includes breakfast.

One TikToker, @emilytuttle4, revealed her stay at the hotel set her back just £11.50pp and she described it as “pure luxury”.
One follower then commented: “Wow really… I might have to add Vietnam to my travel plans.”
Another added “Vietnam is absolutely the best and cheapest place on earth.”
