TONY Romo can’t get enough of the Dallas Cowboys’ 2025 NFL Draft class.
The Cowboys‘ iconic quarterback spoke to The U.S. Sun regarding the team’s nine draft selections in last week’s NFL Draft in Green Bay, Wisconsin.
The Cowboys started their NFL Draft by selecting Alabama guard Tyler Booker with their No. 12 overall pick.
Dallas then drafted edge rusher Donovan Ezeiruaku in the second round, cornerback Shavon Revel Jr. in the third round, and their other selections included fifth-round picks, running back Jaydon Blue, and linebacker Shemar James.
NFL analysts have praised the Cowboys’ handling of their draft picks, and Tony Romo couldn’t agree more.
“If you look at this draft, if you’re a Dallas Cowboys fan, I would be very excited and happy with how the draft turned out,” Romo told The U.S. Sun, thanks to his new Skechers Hands Free Slip-ins campaign.
The retired four-time Pro Bowler Romo then made a daring take, revealing that he believes the Cowboys have a chance of ending up with numerous Day 1 rookie starters in 2025.
“I think they did a great job of maximizing not only (drafting) the top player on their board, but in some instances it worked out to where they could end up having four or five day one starters, which is super rare,” Romo said.
“You look at the position groupings, they shored up some spots that I feel like they may have needed some depth or maybe even a starter, and on top of that, you could argue that was the top player on their board.
“And that’s rare to go through a whole draft and do that over and over against so kudos to them.”
The Cowboys did add depth to their roster as they selected four offensive players – two running backs, two offensive linemen, and five defenders – three defensive linemen, one cornerback, and a linebacker.
Romo also made sure to share that he “loved” the first-round pick of Booker.
“I’ll say this… [By drafting] Booker, this offensive line has a chance to be one of the top in the NFL,” Romo added.
“… Building from the inside-out is always a positive.”
Romo gave credit to the longtime owner and general manager, Jerry Jones, and the front office for the handling of the team’s NFL Draft process.
“I think that Stephen Jones, Will McClay, Jerry Jones, and the front office have done a great job. I think their record speaks for itself over the last decade, especially on draft picks,” he said.

It was the Cowboys’ first draft class under new head coach Brian Schottenheimer.
The Cowboys will kick off offseason OTAs (Organized Team Activities) on May 21 before mandatory minicamp begins in early June.
They’ll hope to see their injured third-round pick Revel practice this summer.

Revel is expected to come off the list closer to the preseason and due to be ready for the new season.
The Cowboys will look to bounce back from a disappointing 7-10 campaign that saw Mike McCarthy coach his last season with the team.
