The U.S. Sun can exclusively reveal when fans could expect their favorite pickers to return to the small screen.

“They just got done filming in Los Angeles,” a source close to the series exclusively told The U.S. Sun.

“New episodes will come out in the fall.”

Now that filming has wrapped up, this will be Mike’s longest break from shooting the show in 15 years.

In an interview with People, Mike said, “For 15 years, we have just been going and going and going. I think we’re going to have at least four or five months off, so it’s going to be good.”

The insider told The U.S. Sun of the break, “He’s got a couple of things he’s doing. He’s coming out with a show at the end of the year. He’s opening up a second vacation rental.

“He’s going to stay picking. He’s just trying to slow it down and get a little bit more time for family. His daughter just turned 13. He’s like, ‘I want to be involved with my teenager!’”

Mike shares daughter Charlie with his ex-wife Jodi.

A second source told The U.S. Sun of the time off, “He wants to focus on family. He’s stretching himself too thin. He’s 60, he wants to slow down and spend time with his daughter. He has a lot going on.

The show has experienced low ratings for season 26, but the insider insisted, “The show is not ending.”

    BEHIND THE SCENES

The show’s stars have provided updates with fans on filming in recent months.

In April, Mike shared a photo with Danielle and a collector while filming.

“This is Nora Danny and I filmed with her a few days ago but I met her and her husband JP back in 2017 When we shot an episode of American Pickers with them,” he wrote. “Her and JP have devoted their lives to their passions and collecting.

“With them both being artist and visual merchandisers you can only image the funky beautiful pieces they came across together… Noras energy has made such an impact on my life and Danny’s I can’t wait for you all to meet her.”

In March, Mike posted a picture jumping in the air while under an umbrella with Jersey during a day of filming.

“This is why @jsrestore and I work so well together. He keeps me grounded and I lift him up,” he captioned the photo.

In April, Jersey posted a behind-the-scene photo filming in Los Angeles, as he captioned the snap, “Working hard in LA to bring you all new episodes of American Pickers.”

In March, Jersey posted a photo of Robbie shooting pool and wrote, “We are out here filming all new episodes of American Pickers comin at ya!”

    MIKE’S CAREER

Outside of filming, Mike is keeping busy with various projects.

Mike will also host History’s Greatest Picks, which he explained to People, “I’m going to introduce a story and a piece. They’re going to cut to some archival footage, maybe even a little bit of reenactment.

“In one hour, we’re going to cover four different stories, so it is about picking.”

Mike just starred in A Day of Reckoning, which hit theaters on March 28, with his girlfriend, Leticia Cline.

Mike also runs his bike stop Columbia Motor Alley in the small town of Columbia, Tennessee.

Columbia is where Mike’s vacation rental Two Lanes Guesthouse and his other businesses are located.

His most recent vacation rental will open soon in Le Claire, Iowa, just across the street from Antique Archaeology, after a months-long delay.

Mike also owns Antique Archaeology in his hometown of Le Claire, Iowa.

    END OF AN ERA

His Nashville location shut their doors on Sunday, April 27.

Mike announced the closing on Friday, as he began the lengthy post, “After nearly 15 amazing years, we’ve made the tough decision to close the doors of our Antique Archaeology store here in Music City. This place has meant the world to me — not just the brick and mortar, but the people. The community. The visitors from all over the world who came through those doors, shared their stories, and reminded me every day why I started this journey in the first place.

“I’ve been so proud to be a part of this neighborhood, this city, and this chapter of life. But sometimes, even when something is good, you have to pause and ask yourself where your time is going — and where your heart is calling you next.

“For me, that’s family. It’s slowing down a little, staying rooted, and focusing on the new projects that are pulling at my soul. I’m not disappearing — not even close.

“I’ll still be picking, sharing, and selling online and at our original LeClaire, Iowa store. But I’ve learned over the years that it’s easy to spread yourself too thin, and balance is something we all chase in one way or another.

He ended, “This isn’t goodbye — it’s just a new rhythm. I’ll forever be grateful for every moment in that Nashville space, and for all of you who made it more than just a shop. You made it home.”

Mike’s “stunned” staffers were notified of the closing not long before the public, as they were told just one day before.

Employees at his Iowa location were told a week prior to his Instagram post.

Mike appeared emotional in photos obtained by The U.S. Sun on the store’s final day.

He was seen wiping a tear when he showed up to the shop to say his goodbyes and interact with supportive fans.

The closing comes after Antique Archaeology Nashville faced backlash from customers over expensive items and the amount of merchandise compared to antiques.
