Oleksandr Usyk showed Daniel Dubois an image of the controversial low-blow, which sparked an argument between the pair in the talkSPORT towers.
Usyk and Dubois came into the talkSPORT studio to discuss their upcoming undisputed heavyweight title clash at Wembley Stadium on July 19.
The pair have history with Dubois dropping Usyk with a punch in their first 2023 battle, which was ruled a ‘low blow’ as it floored the Ukrainian.
He went on to win the fight stopping the Briton, but Dubois felt aggrieved and is keen to get his revenge.
talkSPORT were lucky enough to have the pair in the studio to discuss their rivalry on White & Jordan.
And Usyk sparked an argument, by bringing up a picture of the controversial low blow.
He showed it first to the Briton before host Jim White held up the photo.
Usyk said: “I will show you one picture.”
Dubois quickly responded repeatedly: “That wasn’t the same punch. That wasn’t the same punch.”
Usyk added: “I live in the past, this fight is in the past. We will fight again.”
Dubois continued: “It was in my opinion a proper body shot. I can go over it again.
“It was a body shot, it landed and I now have the chance to clear up the controversy.
Dubois argued his case and insists it was a fair shot“I can wipe the slate clean, I have come back a new man and a different fighter.”
Dubois then shook his head before the topic of conversation was moved on.
It is clear that the controversy will not die down in the build-up to their sequel.
The 27-year-old is adamant the shot shouldn’t have been scored a low blow, but the fight is now in the past.
Tensions have already been built up between the pair, given Dubois shoved Usyk beforehand in a tense face-off on the pitch at Wembley Stadium.
And the Briton explained exactly why he made things physical during the interview.
Dubois will get a second chance at beating Usyk this summerRichard Pelham/Queensberry PromotionsHe continued: “At the end of the day, it is a fight.
“Any time we are in each other’s faces it could kick off. But I’m grateful for the opportunity and ready to fight.
“I definitely respect Oleksandr Usyk, but I get the opportunity to try and beat him as well.
“Oleksandr has had his time, but now it is my time and I’m ready to go.”
The pair were amicable despite security watching behind them.
It promises to be one of the biggest fights on British shores this summer, with the undisputed crown on the line.
Usyk beat Tyson Fury to claim undisputed last year, before beating him again in 2025, and he is viewed the best fighter in the division.
But after a sensational victory over Anthony Joshua, the improved Dubois is on the war path and is eyeing his redemption.
