It was not a happy Easter weekend for Championship rivals Stoke City and Sheffield United but the Blades are an eye-catching price to bounce back with victory in the Potteries.
Chris Wilder’s men will have to take their chances in the play-offs after Monday’s 2-1 defeat at Burnley, who have sealed automatic promotion to the Premier League alongside Leeds United.
Table-topping Leeds secured their top-two spot thanks to a 6-0 drubbing of Stoke at Elland Road, where the Potters found themselves 5-0 down at half-time.
Manager Mark Robins will demand a response from his side and Sheffield United boss Wilder is expected to rest some key players with the play-offs in mind.
However, the Blades have plenty of strength in depth – top scorer Tyrese Campbell and Crystal Palace loanee Jesurun Rak-Sakyi came off the bench at Turf Moor – and they look a big price to win at Stoke.
United have lost four of their last five but all four of those defeats were by a one-goal margin and only promoted Burnley have a better away record than the Blades this season.

Inter Milan and Napoli are involved in a thrilling duel for the Serie A title but third-placed Atalanta also want to finish the season strongly.
Narrow defeats to Inter, Fiorentina and Lazio scuppered their hopes of claiming the Scudetto but they have bounced back this month with a 2-0 win over Bologna and a 1-0 victory at AC Milan.
Atalanta have kept clean sheets in seven of their last 10 league matches and the 3-0 correct score appeals when they host struggling Lecce.
The visitors kick off this round of fixtures just one point above the relegation zone and it is hard to see them getting anything from Friday’s trip to Bergamo.
Lecce have taken only three points from 20 games against teams in the top 12, scoring just six goals, and they lost 4-0 to Atalanta in August’s reverse fixture.
