No injuries were reported Thursday afternoon after a single-engine plane ran off the runway at the Fullerton Municipal Airport.
The mishap occurred around 5:30 p.m. at 4011 West Commonwealth Avenue. Fullerton Fire Battalion Chief Jordan Morris told OC Hawk News the plane was unable to stop before the end of the runway and “ran off” into the runoff area before it came to a stop.
The two passengers aboard the Cirrus SR22 aircraft were uninjured.
Earlier this year, a small Vans RV-10 experimental aircraft crashed through the roof of Michael Nicholas Designs, a large furniture manufacturing building in Fullerton on Jan. 3. Another 19 people working inside the building were injured and several were burned.
