“Wow, that is a true raspberry taste,” the TikTok user said, comparing it to the popular blue raspberry flavor common in candy. “It really is a true berry flavor. I don’t hate it, it is pretty decent. Definitely tastes like juice, very low carbonation factor,” the review continued.

Commenters were quick to give their thoughts on the 200-calorie drink, writing that it “Tastes like wine to me.” Another disagreed, comparing the flavor more to “medicine” or “cough syrup.”

One commenter responded that they think that “just means it’s too sweet. It’s got a crazy amount of sugar.”

Over on Instagram, a Monster Energy fan page also raved about the can design but thought the flavor fell short. “A bit disappointed with the flavor, but the design is one of the best in my opinion,” wrote the social media user who goes by the handle monstercollectiondenmark.

Commenters chimed in, writing, “It’s so good” and sharing that they “can’t believe they’re replacing the lemonade with this.”

The new flavor, which the brand describes as “inspired by Wild Nordic berries and Scandinavian fruit,” features real fruit juices. Per the ingredient list, the main fruit juice in the beverage is apple, followed by cherry, black currant, blackberry, and bilberry.
