After recently marking her 30th year as an anchor on Inside Edition, Deborah Norville is ready to move on.
“It has been an honor and a privilege to be here at Inside for all these years,” the veteran TV journalist said on the Wednesday, April 2 episode of the long-running CBS show, as Peoplereported. “A milestone like this is a time for reflection and upon reflection, I’ve decided that now is the time for me to move on from Inside Edition.”

While Norville, 66, went on to note that the network made her a “lovely offer" in an attempt to get her to stay, “There are things I’d like to do, places I want to do them that continuing here don’t permit.”
Luckily for fans, Norville will stick around for the rest of the current season.
“I’ve got some exciting things in the works, and I’ll talk about that later,” she promised. “But what I want to say right now is what a privilege it has been to be Inside Edition for all of these years, to work with the incredibly talented team here and to be invited into your homes every day. It’s an honor I don’t take lightly.”
Norville opened up more about her decision in an Instagram post on the same day.
"It’s been an amazing ride and I will leave with gratitude for the people I have worked with and for - and the viewers who have watched," she wrote. "Twice before I made career moves for personal reasons (Chicago to NBC News in NY, CBS News to Inside Edition) and they were the right decisions. This decision is also motivated by family … and I know it it’s a good one. There’s lots more to come from me … just from a new place."
