Get ready to celebrate Earth Day in Oceanside: This year’s festivities take place on Saturday, April 26, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Alamosa Park, bringing together the community for a fun and impactful event.
Join the Green Oceanside Team along with local environmental groups, city organizations, and non-profits for a morning packed with educational booths, interactive activities for kids, games, music, and more. It’s a perfect opportunity to meet the Green Oceanside team and learn how you can take action to protect our environment and community.
At Alamosa Park, guests will enjoy a family-friendly atmosphere while exploring ways to become environmental stewards. Try your hand at zero waste cornhole, participate in a park cleanup, check out the Waste Management mini collection truck, spin the Green O prize wheel, and score fun giveaways like stickers and coloring books.
Plus, don’t forget to bring a reusable water bottle—the Water Utilities Department will have its water trailer on-site, providing fresh, locally produced tap water straight from the city’s drinking water system.
Organizations like the Library Department, ProduceGood, Buena Vista Audubon Society, Friends of El Corazón, Waste Management, Camp Pendleton, Sierra Club, and others will have booths with educational resources and hands-on activities.
In partnership with I Love A Clean San Diego, Green Oceanside will also be hosting three cleanup sites as part of the 23rd annual Creek to Bay Cleanup, San Diego County’s largest Earth Week event.
Oceanside locations will provide cleanup supplies and giveaways—just remember to bring your reusable water bottle and sunscreen! Registration opens April 1 at www.cleansd.org.
