Rylee Arnold did not lace up her ballroom shoes at her hometown show after suffering an injury onstage at the Dancing With the Stars: Live Tour.
“I am in my Adidas. Thought they were really cute,” Arnold, 19, explained of her shoe choice during the Friday, March 28, show, per fan footage. “I haven’t really been dancing so that’s just the reason why. But I just wanted to come out here and thank all of you guys. It’s so cool to be in my hometown, in front of all the people I love. So I’m just super grateful to be here.”
Arnold shared via Instagram on Friday that she injured her ankle while dancing onstage at the Thursday, March 27, show in Salt Lake City, Utah.
“Hi guys, I just wanted to give you guys a quick update,” Arnold said in the video. “I’m sure you have heard or probably saw last night at the Salt Lake City show I injured and sprained my ankle in one of my dances and was not able to continue dancing and do my dances for the rest of the show. But good news, it’s not broken, it’s sprained. I just need to take this time to heal and make sure that I can return back to the show.”

Dancer Rylee Arnold Reveals Ankle Injury Ahead of 2-Night DWTS Event
Arnold joined season 32 of DWTS in 2023, where she was partnered with Harry Jowsey. The next season, Arnold was paired with Team USA gymnast Stephen Nedoroscik. Stephen Nedoroscik, Rylee Arnold Disney/Eric McCandless“For me, this is so crazy that I get to be a part of this 500th episode when it’s been my favorite show ever since I was a little girl,” she exclusively told Us Weekly at the time. “It’s just so surreal getting to be here and to perform in this episode, and all the emotions just hit me. It was kind of like a hard two weeks getting prepared for this one, because it was a dance that we really wanted to master, so it’s just like that relief and just gratefulness.”
Arnold and Nedoroscik, 26, finished in fourth place. “WE DID IT!!! So incredibly grateful for this season and everything that came with it!!!” Arnold wrote via Instagram in November 2024, alongside a series of selfies of the duo. “Forever proud of you Stephen that finale was perfect!! thank you for it all btw this is me and Stephen’s first time on a private jet and we are FREAKING OUT!!!!”
