No matter how you cook it, it’s hard to go wrong with a good pasta dinner. The world of pasta is deep and wide, with so many different styles and shapes—and that's before we even start talking about the sauces. But despite the range of pasta options out there, we all tend to have a handful of go-to pasta dishes that we make at home. If you're getting a little bored with your pasta dinners, Gordon Ramsay is here to spice things up a bit (literally).
The Hell’s Kitchen start just casually dropped a recipe for his Creamy Bacon & Calabrian Chili Pasta on Instagram, and this meal delivers on all fronts—it’s spicy and creamy, and it’s packed with bacon, a surefire way to kick the flavor game up a notch.
Even better, this dish is surprisingly easy to make. “Pasta with a little heat…..my favourite!” Ramsay writes in the caption. He also points out that this is “perfect to make this weekend or any weeknight,” which basically means it’s perfect—period. Here's what you need to know to make this dish at home.

Ramsay kicks things off by putting three eggs into a big bowl. After that, give them a good whisk and dump in a bunch of shredded Parmesan cheese. Add some Calabrian chili paste (adjust to match your preferred spice level), and whisk some more. Set that bowl aside and get to work on the noodles.
Next, boil water, salt it, and add rigatoni noodles.
While the noodles cook, move on to the star of the show: the bacon. Ramsay tosses some bacon (cut into small pieces) into a frying pan, stirring it around to get everything nice and browned. From there, he adds tomato sauce to the pan, giving it a good stir while everything simmers.
Once the noodles are cooked, drain them (save some of the starchy cooking water) and add them to the pan, stirring well to coat everything. Drizzle in some olive oil, then add in the chile, egg and cheese mixture, plus some pasta cooking water to help the sauce come together. Cook everything together for a couple of minutes to make sure the pasta is coated, the sauce is creamy and the eggs are cooked.
Finally, place your pasta in a bowl, before adding a generous heap of fresh Parmesan on top. Dinner done!

How to Make This Pasta Your Own
This spicy pasta checks all the major boxes, but there are a few things you can do to elevate it even more. Consider adding grilled chicken for extra protein, along with a sprinkling of additional bacon on top for a little crunch.
Adding in vegetables, like peas or spinach (or both) will add some freshness and extra texture. While Ramsay used rigatoni for this dish, feel free to choose your own pasta shape adventure. A short, cut pasta is great here because it grabs the creamy sauce. Penne would be a good option, as would squiggly fusilli or corkscrew-shaped cavatappi. Only have spaghetti in the cabinet? That'll work too.
