While Helen Hunt rose to fame on the big and small screens, the actress has plenty of theatrical credits under her belt, as well—and she recently marked her return to the stage with a fresh-faced selfie on Instagram.
The 61-year-old Academy Award winner, who's currently starring in the Harold Pinter play Betrayal at Chicago's Goodman Theater, shared a backstage pic from the production.

In the snap, Hunt sat at a makeup table wearing a white button-down shirt, her hair pulled back from her face.
"Tech…Day 1 'Betrayal' @goodmantheatre #LAStrong," Hunt captioned her post.

The star's friends and followers were quick to show their support.
"Omg you are at tech already!! I love this play so much. Break a leg!" wrote Jenna Fischer.
"???," added Fischer's former co-star on The Office, Angela Kinsey.
"Love you Helen! Break a leg!" another fan chimed in.
Hunt—whose father, the late Gordon Hunt, was an acting coach and director—recently opened up to the Chicago Sun-Times about why theater is so important to her.
“Theater has always meant the world to me,” Hunt said.
“I was raised going to the theater. The theater has helped me make sense of the world,” she continued. “It gave me joy. It’s kept me company. So there’s never been a day when the theater hasn’t been important to me.”
While Hunt's part in Betrayal—which co-stars Robert Sean Leonard—was originally written for a younger woman, Hunt explained how her age serves to make the character more compelling.
“Most people become more interesting as they get older, either because of the damage they’ve sustained or the wisdom they’ve gained,” she said. “Or because of the wisdom they’ve lost. So, by definition, any part about a woman at that age is going to be more complex and interesting, certainly to me.”
