ANGEL REESE had to be held back from Caitlin Clark after being the recipient of a flagrant foul.
The incident happened during the Chicago Sky clash with the Indiana Fever at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis.

She fell to the ground as a result of the technical foul.
The Sky star reacted furiously as she made a beeline for Clark, 23, after getting up.
After the Fever ace was pushed away from the confrontation, Reese continued to go after her but was held back.
Fans watching on were left convinced that there is a lot more bad blood between the two stars than first thought.
One posted: “After watching Caitlin Clark’s flagrant foul on Angel Reese and the aftermath, there is no way Angel Reese can continue the lie that she doesn’t dislike Caitlin Clark.
“I know what hatred looks like. Angel Reese HATES Caitlin Clark. Not some basketball rivalry hate either. Hate.”
A second commented: “She hates CC.”
A third wrote: “Hates because she ain’t her.”
The footage was reviewed Clark’s foul was upgraded to Flagrant 1 by the officials.
It was explained that it was due to the technical foul and the following confrontation.
Crew chief Roy Gulbeyan said: “For wind up, impact, and follow through for the extension of the left hand to Reese’s back, which is deemed not a legitimate basketball play, and therefore deemed unnecessary contact.
“After the foul, there is a physical taunt technical on Boston and a verbal technical on Reese, which offset.”
Caitlin explained why she made the challenge after the game and insisted it was not “malicious”.
She told ESPN: “It’s just a good take foul.
“Either Angel gets wide open two points, or we send them to the free throw line. Nothing malicious about it.
“It’s just a good take foul every basketball player knows that.”
Indiana finished the match winning 93-58 in the WNBA opener.
The two will meet again on June 7 in Chicago.
Reese’s reaction may have come as a surprise to many as she has previously gone out of her way to hail Clark.
Speaking in 2023, she said: “Oh my gosh, I love Caitlin. We’ve been competing since we were in AAU.
“It was always fun and it was always competitive.
“One day, hopefully, me and her could even be teammates.
“Because she is a great player, and a great shooter and a great person and great teammate.”
