Lala Kent is opening up about the “most horrendous time” of her life, giving details about the aftermath of her split from her former fiancé, Randall Emmett.
Though the couple’s breakup was documented on Vanderpump Rules, Kent gave new insight into the ordeal on the latest episode of former Vanderpump cast member Brittany Cartwright’s podcast, When Reality Hits.

“You remember, I was down to, like, 90 pounds,” Kent told Cartwright, who is currently going through a split from another former Vanderpump Rules star, Jax Taylor.
“I couldn’t eat. I was not well. That was the most horrendous time of my life,” Kent admitted.
She then shared her mindset after the breakup with Emmett, with whom she shares her four-year-old daughter, Ocean.
“I have to remind myself, ‘You’re OK. That time of your life is over and you’re on the other side, it’s done,’” Kent admitted.
Earlier this month, Kent shared the news with fans that “after over three years” of going back and forth with Emmett, their custody battle over Ocean is finally over. “So I’m very, very happy about that,” Kent said on an Amazon Live broadcast.
She also took the time to give Cartwright advice about her ongoing divorce proceedings from Taylor, with whom she shares a three-year-old son, and who used to co-host the podcast with her.
“I’ve been where you are right now. All the chicks are sending you messages, you’re in the thick of it. But I think my biggest piece of advice to you is, number one, know this is not your forever. Take a moment to remember this is going to pass,” suggested Kent.
“When you kind of are just like, chill with everything they kind of just fade away a bit and they will be peaceful with you. I know it seems like it will never happen, but you will get to that place. And I think just remembering that it’s not your forever. When it becomes too much, just don’t engage with him. Be OK to block him,” continued Kent, noting that co-parenting presents a different set of challenges while going through a split, calling it “mental torture.”
She then shared that there is an eventual pattern that emerges that makes the situation tolerable. “You’re going to know exactly how the days are going to go, you know how to disengage, you know when to engage. It’ll just become your normal. Everything is always worse in your head,” Kent told the current The Valley cast member.
