Broadway Star Eva Noblezada Announces Her Engagement in the Cutest Way: ‘I’m Not Crying’

Eva Noblezada, a two-time Tony Award nominee who will soon return to Broadway in Cabaret, is engaged to former co-star Reeve Carney.

The actress, 28, revealed the big news during the couple’s sold-out Green Room 42 concert in New York City on Friday, March 14.

    Following the big reveal, the venue shared video from the special moment, captioning the post, “#TheGreenRoom42 Congratulates: Eva & Reeve ?✨ They stole the stage AND our hearts announcing their engagement during a sold-out show! I’m not crying you are… ? Truly a night to remember! Here is to love, music, and Broadway ?,” adding the hashtag #EngagedOnStage.

    In the clip, Noblezada — who played opposite Carney, 41, in the hit Broadway musical Hadestown — can be seen walking offstage saying that she needed “to get something really important from my future mother-in-law," then showed a cheering audience an engagement ring on her hand.

    As the couple embraced, the band began to play “All I’ve Ever Known,” a love song the two performed nightly as the characters of Eurydice and Orpheus in Hadestown.

    Broadway fans celebrated in the comments section of the Green Room 42’s post, with one writing, “The most meant-to-be thing to ever happen in the history of the world.”

    Another referenced the sweet musical tie-in, writing, “THE SONG TOO?? my god good for them ????.”

    One said, “Omg congratulations Eva and Reeve on your engagement!!! What an EPIC surprise!!!”

    The pair began working together on the 2019 production of Hadestown and eventually started dating. Noblezada was previously married to English actor Leo Roberts, but the two divorced in 2019. Carney, who is also known for playing Peter Parker/Spider-Man in the Broadway musical Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark, was previously linked to former Nickelodeon star Victoria Justice.

    Noblezada, who was last seen as Daisy Buchanan in the Broadway musical The Great Gatsby, will play Sally Bowles opposite Orville Peck in the Broadway revival of Cabaret beginning March 31.
