George Clooneys Fans Call Broadway Debut Playbill Bio Surprisingly Refreshing

George Clooney hit a major career milestone this week when he made his Broadway debut in Good Night and Good Luck, which began previews on Wednesday, March 12. Still, it appears he's not letting the experience go to his head.

One fan who caught the play's first performance shared a photo of their Playbill to X on the night of the show, with Clooney's bio circled.

"George Clooney’s first ever Broadway bio is surprisingly refreshing," the X user wrote in their caption.

Clooney opened up to ABC Eyewitness News about appearing on the Great White Way for the first time.

"Yeah, I'm terrified," he admitted. "But, I mean, that's not such a bad thing to be, you know, it's a kind of a good thing in life to constantly be doing stuff that you don't feel comfortable with and you don't feel competent. And I love the story."

Good Night and Good Luck is the stage adaptation of the 2005 film of the same name, which Clooney co-wrote and directed. Both the play and the movie tell the story of journalist Edward R. Murrow's confrontation with Senator Joseph McCarthy.

When asked whether Brad Pitt would be getting an invite to opening night, Clooney was quick to answer.

    "No, he's not," Clooney quipped.

"In fact, I don't want him around," he continued, jokingly. "Apparently, we're fighting. I saw some article the other day, we're fighting. I don't know, I don't know what, where Brad is right now, he's shooting a movie, so He's almost done, and then we're gonna, we're gonna do another film together soon," Clooney said.

Good Night and Good Luck officially opens for a limited engagement in April at the Winter Garden Theatre.
