In addition to their classic sandwiches (and some newer, less conventional fare, like the controversial Doritos Footlong Nachos), Subway is known for their soft-baked cookies. But as popular as the sweet treats might be, some loyal Subway fans aren't particularly fond of the bags used to package the cookies.
One X user shared a photo of the bag this week, printed with the words, "Lookie Lookie I've Got A Cookie."

Commenters agreed, saying they'd rather not be seen with the bag in public, either.
"lookie lookie i am never recovering from this," someone declared.
"A fashion statement only the boldest cookie connoisseurs can pull off perhaps stash it in a plain sack or devour it before it turns you into the town's pastry paparazzi target," a second person quipped.
"is @SUBWAY flirting with us?" somebody else wanted to know, with another fan joking, "Cookie monster will come after you."
"bro my campus subway used to give me my sandwich in this bag i didnt even have a cookie," yet another Subway customer shared.
One X user had a different take, writing, "But maybe. Maybe they will see it and be sooo jealous and you can be like I have a cookie and you DONT. You wish you were me."
Of course, the "lookie lookie cookie" rhyme isn't particularly new; in fact, the song "Lookie Lookie Here Comes Cookie" by Cleo Brown was recorded in 1935. Nearly a century later, in 2024, the popular "Lookie lookie lookie it's Crumbl cookie" TikTok went viral.
It's not clear when Subway started using the "Lookie Lookie I've Got A Cookie" bags, though the bag was seen in a TikTok cookie review shared in 2023.
