On the same day tickets went on sale for Brad Paisley's upcoming Truck Still Works World Tour, the country singer treated fans to a brand new song—marking an unexpected collaboration.
In an Instagram post on Friday, March 7, the "Whiskey Lullaby" crooner announced the release of a new song with the rock band Dawes called "Raining Inside," sharing an image of the song's title against a textured background.

"New song with @dawestheband out today," Paisley wrote in his caption, adding, "Check back here at 4:30 CT - @taylordawesgoldsmith and I are going to go live and chat about the song."

Paisley's followers couldn't get over the news.
"This song is epic. This combo is something I didn’t know I wanted. Can Brad just join Dawes?" one fan wanted to know.
"Love this. Two of my faves teaming up. ?," a second person chimed in, with another saying, "Bro can’t miss ??."
"What a beautiful song, the SOLO, come on man, classic Paisley, absolutely stunning, can’t stop listening. A masterpiece, really, sending all the love and appreciation from Brasil! Love U ❤️ ??????????," gushed a fourth music lover.
According to a news release, Paisley wrote "Raining Inside" with Dawes lead singer Taylor Goldsmith and songwriter Lee Thomas Miller in 2024.
While the track was initially recorded with Paisley's vocals alone, the country star was inspired to collaborate with Dawes after performing Randy Newman’s “I Love L.A.” at the 2025 Grammys with a star-studded band including Goldsmith and his brother Griffin, Sheryl Crow, Brittany Howard, John Legend and St. Vincent.
Paisley's “Truck Still Works World Tour” kicks off on May 21, 2025, at the Mountain America Center in Idaho Falls, Idaho, with the first leg of 16 shows scheduled to run through August. Openers include Walker Hayes, Avery Anna, Mae Estes, Alexandra Kay and Dylan Scott.
