Stephen A. Smith hasn’t shied away from talking politics on live television when he isn’t appearing on ESPN’s programming.

The 57-year-old has also discussed the possibility of running for president along the way.

So, Smith appeared on ABC’s The View on Tuesday, and the discussion was about his rising favorability in the Democratic polls.

“I mean when I say it. I think I can beat them all,” he said in a seven-message about his chances of being a future Democratic nominee to the likes of Whoopi Goldberg and Joy Behar.

Smith then admitted, “And I have no desire whatsoever to run for office, I am not a politician, I am not qualified.”

But he also added, “I know this much, when you consider who’s won the other side and how he’s gotten away with saying very little in terms of being coherent and articulating his thoughts clearly and concisely and what have you.

“This is not something that he’s known to do.

“Yet, and still, he has owned the Republican Party since 2015.”

Stephen A. referenced the fact that President Donald Trump had no political experience before running in 2015 and eventually winning his first term.

The First Take star also has the skills to entertain and persuade – much like Trump.

Fans reacted to Smith’s bold message on X.

“He could win the Dem nomination,” one wrote.

“This can’t be real life,” another commented.

“Stephen A. makes a great point,” a third added.
