COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) – Firefighters are battling a two-alarm blaze in a north Columbus home Monday morning.
According to the Columbus Division of Fire, a two-story vacant apartment building caught fire after 5 a.m. in the 2300 block of Fitzroy Place North, in the Northland area, just south of Morse Road.
It has been confirmed that the building was empty when the fire broke out. CFD Chief Jeffrey Geitter could not confirm how it started, but does not believe the building had electrical service.
There are no reports of injuries at this time as multiple agencies continue to try to contain the scene.
