(KRON) – A Santa Rosa man was arrested after a hit-and-run crash that caused another man to be hospitalized, said the Petaluma Police Department.
At 9:03 a.m. on Saturday, Petaluma PD and Petaluma Fire Department responded to a traffic collision near West Payran Street and Graylawn Avenue. While officers were traveling to the scene, they were informed that one of the vehicles had left the scene in an unknown direction.
Responding authorities located one of the drivers seated in his vehicle needing medical attention and was taken to the hospital for his non-life-threatening injuries.

The witnesses informed nearby police and subsequently officers detained the suspect. The man was identified as 31-year-old Santa Rosa resident Sonny Ocop.
It was determined that the Ocop was also the registered owner of the suspect vehicle, which was found parked in a driveway of a nearby residence not belonging to Ocop, said police.
Ocop was believed to be under the influence of alcohol, according to Petaluma PD. Ocop was arrested for violations of DUI causing injury, hit and run causing an injury and threatening an officer.
