Coastal North Bay including Point Reyes National Seashore, San Francisco Peninsula Coast and Southern Monterey Bay and Big Sur Coast as well as San Francisco County were placed under an updated high surf advisory by the National Weather Service on Saturday at 8:35 a.m. The advisory is valid from 9 a.m. until Monday, Mar. 3 at 9 p.m.
The NWS San Francisco CA says to be ready for, “A long period westerly swell will result in an increased risk of sneaker waves and rip currents with breaking waves up to 20 feet.”
“Dangerous swimming and surfing conditions and localized beach erosion,” the NWS said. “Inexperienced swimmers should remain out of the water due to dangerous surf conditions.”
