A deputy suffered a gunshot wound Friday when his gun discharged while he prepared for his shift at the sheriff‘s station in La Crescenta.
The shooting occurred about 6:45 a.m. at the Crescenta Valley Sheriff’s Station at 4554 Briggs Ave., Sgt. John Gilbert told City News Service.

“The incident is under active investigation, but preliminary information suggests it may have been an unintentional discharge,” Gilbert said.
