The Cubs will open up their Spring Training slate tomorrow at 2pm CT, but don’t expect to see too many regulars in the game. In fact, it may only be Michael Busch that sees action from the regular group (Bruce Levine). As for the pitchers, we know Cody Poteet is getting the start, and Cubs.com reports that pitching prospects Jack Neely and Daniel Palencia (well, I still think of him as a prospect), and non-roster invitees Brad Keller and Brooks Kriske are among the others penciled in for action.
Meanwhile, Justin Turner has been spotted at Cubs camp (Maddie Lee), though his deal may not be officially official until tomorrow. That assumes a clean physical and all that, but once it happens, the Cubs will have to make a corresponding move to open up a 40-man roster spot.
