A Costco pizza comes in one size (enormous) and has exactly 12 slices. The pizza chefs behind the counter at the food court have a fancy tool that cuts each 18-inch pie into 6 slices and then cuts those in half again.

How Many Different Kinds of Costco Pizza Are There?
There are two different kinds of Costco pizza, available in slices or whole: plain cheese or pepperoni. (If you're feeling fancy, ask them for a half and half!). Longtime fans will remember the legendary combo pizza, which was topped with sausage, pepperoni, red onions, green bell peppers, mushrooms, black olives and cheese. It was discontinued in 2020—because 2020 wasn’t bad enough already—and fans even started a petition to bring it back. So far, no dice, but if you're ever on a Costco Reddit thread you'll still see fans clamoring for the return of the combo pizza.
How Much is a Costco Pizza?
Each Costco pizza costs $9.95 for a whole pie or $1.99 for a slice. If you're doing the math and wondering why a single slice in the food court isn’t around 80 cents, though, well, that's because the slices are slightly bigger than the ones in the whole pie (score!).

You can call ahead to your warehouse and place an order so it’s ready when you get there. You can also order at the counter or at the kiosk when you first arrive, place your order, do your shopping, and pick up your pizza on the way out (this is my M.O.).
One Redditor takes a slightly different approach: "It takes about 15 minutes for them to make. I usually call it in when I’m in the back of the store and about to work my way back up." Another Redditor adds, "We order after checkout, load up the car, come back in, pick up pizza. I don't know if it matters, but it feels fresher when we get it home." One key thing to note: You do need a Costco membership to buy a pizza. Once upon a time, you didn’t, but those days are sadly gone.
Reddit is also a great place to pick up hot Costo pizza tips. One commenter suggests calling ahead or even buying your pizza earlier in the day (or the day before) and reheating it at home. One Redditor swears by this method: "I reheat it for 2-3 minutes in the air fryer at 300 degrees. Comes out better than the original, in my opinion."

What Does Costco Pizza Taste Like?
This pizza isn't for the faint of heart. It’s a hefty slice (710 calories, if you're counting) with a dappled pan pizza crust, stretchy, greasy mozzarella cheese, and a sparsely spread, tangy tomato sauce that harkens back to the pizza Fridays of elementary school (in the best way).
The crust is soft and chewy and somewhat unremarkable, but fans, of course, have a hack for that: Ask for your pizza well done. They’ll put it through the oven one more time to achieve peak doneness. Just don’t ask during peak hours, or they might decline your request.
So how does Costco pizza actually rank in the end? One Redditor summed it up pretty succinctly: "If you factor in the collective categories of taste, price, quickness, convenience, and nostalgia, it ranks pretty high for me."
