Orange County lacrosse preview: Foothill girls will chase another CIF-SS title, this time with a new coach

The Register’s boys and girls lacrosse preview for the 2025 season, which started Monday, Feb. 10.

The most successful high school girls lacrosse program in Southern California has a new coach.

Foothill’s girls team has won three of the four CIF-SS Division 1 championships in the sport’s history and has a 68-2 record against Southern Section opponents since 2019.

Taylor Lindores replaces former Orange County coach of the year Cristina Rodriguez, who had been the team’s head coach since 2019.

Lindores most recently was the head coach at Tamalpais High where she led the Red Tailed Hawks to a CIF North Coast Section championship in 2023. She was named CIF North Coast Section coach of the year for that season.

Foothill returns five All-County players, including the Register’s 2024 Orange County player of the year Brynn Perkins. The Florida State signee led Foothill with 96 pounds last season and had 15 caused turnovers.

Junior Kayla Agarie returns after tallying 50 points last season. Elle Vickers led the team in draws won and ground balls. Junior attack Addie Duvel is back along with Ava Pistone, who was one of the top freshmen in the county last season.

Foothill opens the season against Division 2 champion JSerra on Feb. 27 and then plays Marlborough, the team that beat the Knights for the Division 1 championship.
