Jalen Carter knows all about lifting trophies when it comes to football. The former Georgia star once hoisted the national championship with the Bulldogs, and he is now a Super Bowl champion with the Philadelphia Eagles.
In Super Bowl 59, Carter registered 2 quarterback hits as the Eagles completely shut down Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs. He was not alone with some former Bulldogs playing a role in the win, and Carter was asked about the victory after the game.
As it relates to his national championships at Georgia, Carter admitted the Super Bowl is just “way different” in the world of football titles:
“Man, it’s different, it’s not like winning a natty,” said Carter. “A natty feels good but the Super Bowl is way different. Way more publicity and everything.”
Then again, it’s possible Carter feels that way because he was a member of 2 national championship-winning squads, helping Kirby Smart and the Bulldogs go back-to-back in 2021-22. Sunday night is currently the first Super Bowl ring of Carter’s young NFL career, but it might not be the last.

As for his team’s performance, Carter admitted the Eagles “balled out” against the Chiefs who were in search of a 3-peat.
“Them boys balled out, man. When it was time to step to, they stepped up and made a couple of big plays,” said Carter. “I don’t think they got a first down until late in the 2nd (quarter).”
