The New York Giants selected Barkley out of Penn State with the second pick in the 2018 NFL draft. While his career would be riddled with injuries, it got off to a good start. Barkley inked a $37.75 million three-year deal with the Philadelphia Eagles in March of 2024, ending his tenure with the Giants. However, Barkley's massive current season will net him more income this year and next. CBS Sports contributor Joel Corry, a former NFL agent, reported Barkley earned $250,000 in incentives for surpassing 1,000 rushing yards and helping Philly win the NFC Championship. The latter will be a gift that keeps on giving—Barkley increased his base salary by $250,000 in 2025 and 2026 each for the NFC Championship win.
