Philadelphia Eagles running back Saquon Barkley is having a historic season in his first year in the City of Brotherly Love—and his net worth has shot up thanks to it. Barkley is just the ninth player in NFL history to hit 2,000 rushing yards. He probably would've broken the single-season record set by Eric Dickerson if the Birds didn't rest their starters against the New York Giants—Barkley's former team—in Week 18.
"Historic" is a word used often with Barkley. You can find his name all over the Penn State record books from his collegiate playing days, and he was one of the most coveted recruits coming out of high school. After an injury-riddled career with the Giants, who drafted Barkley second overall in 2018, the team and his agent couldn't agree on a contract. Barkley flew the coup, signing a $38 million deal with the Eagles, a longtime Giants rival.

"I'm really not surprised by any of this, and I don't say that in an arrogant way," Philadelphia Eagles general manager Howie Roseman told ESPN. "It's based on who he is, nothing to do with me because this is who he's always been."
