DALLAS MAVERICKS fans have been offered season ticket refunds as their anger over Luka Doncic’s exit escalates.
The NBA superstar was included in a shock trade for the LA Lakers’ Anthony Davies at the weekend.
Doncic is regarded as arguably the most exciting player in basketball.
And at the age of 25, he still has plenty more years in the tank.
By contrast, the more defensive Davies is already 31 years old and has had several past injury issues.
Fans of both sides feel the Lakers have therefore ended up with the better deal.
And scores of Mavericks fans have since cancelled their tickets in protest at the trade.
Some even turned up to the Dallas team’s stadium to protest the decision.
They chanted “sell the team” outside the American Airlines Center to show their fury.
And now, team chiefs have offered to refund them the cost of their season ticket, which is set to cost the Mavs thousands of dollars.
A statement read: “We value every season ticket member relationship and reps are available to take calls from members with any concerns or questions.”
The decision to refund fans comes after former Mavs owner Mark Cuban revealed his shock at the new ownership’s decision to let Doncic leave.

“They’re Vegas casino and real estate moguls. They know nothing about the NBA or basketball.
“So they’ve given Nico (Harrison) the keys to make decisions and bold moves like this.
“I believe Mark. I think this is just as much of a shock to him as it is to all of us.
“I texted him and he literally said, ‘That makes two of us’. So he’s probably just as shock as we all are.”
