"I feel like 2025 is my year to really come into my own. I've never lived in L.A. without Jax. I have my home now. I'm back to where I belong. I am just doing things for myself and on my own," the Kentucky native, who recently partnered with Charmin for their Prevent the Dump campaign, tells Parade. "I'm excited to date and have fun with people and just really get my confidence back. I feel like it's going to be a whole new year for me."

The "When Reality Hits" podcaster goes on to tell Parade that it was her "new dating life" that sparked her partnership with Charmin. According to a survey done by the toilet paper brand, 57% of people are judgmental of a love interest when it comes to the cleanliness of their bathroom and the TP they use. Over half of those polled also agreed that you can tell a lot about someone from what's in their bathroom.
"I'm in this new season of my life. You have to look at all the red flags, and I feel like a lot of girls start in the bathroom. If you go to a guy's house, you might snoop through a drawer or see what's going on. And I think one of the things that's a turnoff or a red flag is if they don't have quality TP, obviously," she says. "I gotta pay attention to all the kinds of red flags that are going on. I can't get myself stuck in a horrible relationship again."
As for the reality personality's ultimate dating red flag?
"Texting a girl while you're on a date with me and I see it. I think that would just [be a] turn off, 100 percent. Just give me your attention for one date! And if they can't do that—huge red flag," Cartwright says before joking, "A man who is texting other women on your date definitely has terrible toilet paper in their bathroom."
While Cartwright knows what she's definitely not looking for in a romantic partner, she tells Parade that a little effort goes a long way when it comes to a first date.

"I don't even care if it's fancy. I just want something that's sweet. It doesn't matter to me about going to the fanciest restaurant in LA [or] if somebody wants to take me to a picnic in the park or whatever," she explains. "I think just putting in that little special effort makes a big deal. And I just like little things like that. I want to be romanced because I have not had romance in a very long time. So something like that would be sweet."
All that said, Cartwright tells Parade that 2025 isn't just about her. She says that by sharing her story and being open about what she's gone through in the past, she hopes she can inspire others who can relate to her situation.
"I'm just trying to be strong and really help other women out there that have gone through something similar to what I have in a relationship," she continues. "Because I feel like being open and honest about it is really going to help other people see their own red flags and things that have happened in their relationships and maybe help them gain strength too, because it's not easy. So I'm just trying to bring out Brittany and just do whatever I can. I'm excited."
