A vegetation fire broke out Wednesday, Jan. 15, in San Bernardino with the potential to threaten structures in the area.
Crews responded around 2 p.m. to Little Mountain Drive and West Edgehill Road, where the Little Mountain fire is burning around 30 acres as of around 2:45 p.m., said Eric Sherwin, a spokesperson for the San Bernardino County Fire Department.
No evacuations are in place, but officials expect there to be a structure threat in around 20 minutes. The fire is spreading rapidly, fire officials said.
More firefighters are en route, and the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department is providing air assets. Other crews are assigned to defend structures, Sherwin said.
No injuries have been reported in the fire.
