The stars aligned for Phoenix Suns teammates Kevin Durant and Devin Booker to make a friendly wager on some playoff football.
Durant is a Washington, D.C. native and fan of the Commanders. Booker is a Michigan native and fan of the Detroit Lions. Their teams are set to play Saturday in Detroit in the divisional round of the NFL playoffs — the same day the Suns are in town to play the Pistons.
Of course Durant and Booker are going to have a stake on the game. “For sure,” Booker said when asked if there would be a bet. “Whatever he wants to do.”

Durant said he’d hit Booker on the side to figure something out. “You don’t even gotta worry about that,” he said.
With the Suns playing at 4 p.m. and Commanders-Lions starting at 8 p.m., the two might even be able to watch in person.
