So far, Hugill hasn’t graced the hallowed turf with the senior side, but that could be about to change.
Ruben Amorim’s squad has been struggling to find the back of the net, but it seems a tall order for Hugill to get his chance despite United activating the clause to recall him early from his loan.
Premier League goals this season, with their £72million striker Rasmus Hojlund only netting four times, while fellow forward Joshua Zirkzee has added just three more.
Hugill’s return to Old Trafford follows a period of limited action, having clocked up just 49 minutes in his last five league matches. However, he did manage to find the net in the 17 minutes he was on the pitch against League One leaders Wrexham, although it ended in a 2-1 defeat for Wigan.
