CHERRYLAND — An Alameda County firefighter was injured and two residents were displaced in a home fire here Monday night, officials said.
The fire happened about 8:10 p.m. Monday at a two-story townhouse in the 200 block of Sunset Boulevard, a primarily residential neighborhood.

Two elderly residents, who got out of the home on their own, were displaced. Their ages and relationship were not immediately available.
A firefighter was treated at a hospital for non-life-threatening injuries, officials said.
The cause of the fire remained under investigation Tuesday.
