Meghan McCain is opening up about her recent health scare in hopes that it inspires some to take charge of their well-being come 2025.
On Monday, the 40-year-old media personality shared an emotional reminder with her social media followers, begging, "Please, please ladies - get your mammograms and Pap smears! ??♥️."

The Dec. 30 Instagram upload featured a text post that briefly recapped her health scare.
"I had to get a mass in my breast biopsied last week," the former View co-host—who lost her father, John McCain, from a glioblastoma or an aggressive type of brain cancer in 2018—revealed, sharing that she "just got the news [that] the test [results] came back benign."
"I can't tell you how blessed, lucky and relieved I am but for any woman who follows this account or my work, PLEASE get your mammograms!!!" she exclaimed.
"It is so important and vital and something I know a lot of us put off," McCain added. "I am 40 and this was a scare for me. Get your mammograms!!!"

She called all the healthcare workers, from the pathologists to mammogram coordinators and everyone in between, "selfless angels who walk among us," adding she will be "forever grateful to every single healthcare professional."
"Wishing you all a happy, blessed, HEALTHY New Year!" she concluded.
McCain's post was met with encouragement and stories of similar experiences from fans, who appeared grateful she was using her platform to raise awareness about the significance of regular preventative care.
