Australia National Cricket Team batter Marnus Labuschagne is having a decent outing with the bat in the ongoing Test against the India National Cricket Team. The fourth game of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25 between the teams is taking place at the Melbourne Cricket Ground in Melbourne.
Marnus Labuschagne came to the crease after Sam Konstas was back in the hut following his brutal innings with the bat. The right-hander looked settled right from the start as he hit the ball from the middle of the bat and ensured that he helped the Australia National Cricket Team carry forward the momentum.
Marnus Labuschagne was at his best with the bat as he played some impactful shots and played his best Cricket in the series so far. The right-hander hardly put a foot wrong and made sure that he cashes on the platform set by the opening batter Sam Konstas.
While his stay at the crease was lauded by many, Marnus Labuschagne also had to deal with some blows throughout his innings. In what was a torrid time for him, the Australia National Cricket Team batter coped with two back-to-back blows on the box and fell on the ground in pain.
The first time it happened was when Mohammed Siraj bowled a back of a length outside of delivery. The ball seemed in and Marnus Labuschagne hopped to block but was hit on the box area. He looked in slight discomfort but was quick to continue.
If this was not enough, on the very next ball, the same happened. Mohammed Siraj bowled a back of a length ball seaming inappreciably. Marnus Labuschagne played down the wrong line and was again hit on the box area.
This time, he looked in pain as he was down on his haunches. The video of the incident went viral on the internet, with many left in splits with the way the batter was hit on the box.

Marnus Labuschagne slammed his second half-century in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25 and with the way he was going, he looked all set for a big ton. But his stay at the crease was cut short by the India National Cricket Team all-rounder Washington Sundar.
Marnus Labuschagne attempted to play the big shot but was caught by Virat Kohli inside the circle. The premier batter played a magnificent innings of 72 runs off 145 balls. He also slammed 7 fours in his innings and took his team past 200 runs. Overall, Australia had a great day with the bat as the top four batters got to their half-centuries, and the hosts ended day 1 at 311-6.
