Tickets go on sale Wednesday for the 2025 Coachella Valley Invitational, featuring preseason soccer matches with San Diego’s hometown pro clubs.
The more established San Diego Wave FC, of the NWSL, will be joined by the MLS expansion team, San Diego FC, which will embark on its first season next year.
The multi-week event scheduled for February at the Empire Polo Club in Indio will feature three games from San Diego FC, two games from Wave FC, and numerous other matches featuring clubs from both leagues.
After two closed-door matches in San Diego, San Diego FC will play its first public match on the second day of the event, Feb. 8 against New York City FC. The team will play the Portland Timbers on Feb. 12 and the New York Red Bulls on Feb. 15.
The invitational opens with five days of MLS play followed by two days of NWSL matches. San Diego Wave FC takes on the Houston Dash on Feb. 16 and Bay FC on Feb. 22.
Organizers said next year’s Coachella Valley Invitational will mark the largest-ever preseason event in North American professional soccer history, with a record-setting 20 MLS and NWSL teams participating.
Sales open for American Express members at 10 a.m. Wednesday, with the public sale to follow at 2 p.m.
