Iron Maiden Name Simon Dawson As New Touring Drummer ...Middle East

Iron Maiden have announced their new touring drummer, fresh off the back of longtime percussionist Nicko McBrain’s decision to stop performing live with the band. News of McBrain’s departure was announced on Saturday, Dec. 7, with the 72-year-old musician announced that he is retiring from the road, making Saturday’s concert at Allianz Parque in São Paulo, Brazil his final show with the legendary rock band. “After much consideration, it is with both sorrow and joy, I announce my decision to take a step back from the grind of the extensive touring lifestyle,” McBrain shared in a statement on Iron Maiden’s website.
