As it prepares to annex more land into its jurisdictional boundaries, the city of Ukiah is preparing to align its “agricultural standards, allowances and land-use terminology with those adopted by Mendocino County,” and is currently drafting an ordinance to amend certain provisions to the city’s code that will “preserve and strengthen” some agricultural uses in and around Ukiah. That ordinance was scheduled to be discussed during a public hearing at the Ukiah Planning Commission meeting this week, but city Planning Department staff requested the hearing be pushed to the commission’s December meeting instead.
