DENVER (KDVR) — An investigation by the Colorado Department of Labor and Employment has found that Douglas County Sheriff Darren Weekly and others violated state law during a union election process earlier this year. According to the findings, Weekly, as well as Undersheriff David Walcher and County Commissioners George Teal, Abe Laydon and Lora Thomas, were found to have committed unfair labor practices in violation of a Colorado law protecting collective bargaining by county employees.
