Qatar bags the right to host 2030 Asian Games ...United Arab Emirates

Dubai: Doha will host the 2030 Asian Games, while Riyadh will stage the event in 2034 following a vote at Wednesday’s Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) General Assembly held in Muscat, Oman. The double award came after OCA President Sheikh Ahmad Al Fahad Al Sabah brokered a “win-win” situation which saw the city with the most votes awarded the 2030 Games and the runner-up given the right to host the next edition in 2034. An OCA Evaluation Committee led by Andrey Krukov from Kazakhstan inspected the candidate cities of Doha and Riyadh during Wednesday’s 39th OCA General Assembly in Oman.
