Lebanon’s Central Bank net foreign currency reserves has recorded a deficit of $58 billion up to this date and this was mainly due to the financial system heavy financing of the country’s imports, travel expenses and outward remittances over the past two decades. Marwan Barakat, Group Chief Economist and Head of research of Bank Audi told the Daily Star.
