Burnley vs. Arsenal, Arsnal win 5-0

On a brisk Saturday afternoon, Burnley faced off against Arsenal in a highly anticipated Premier League match. The game started off with both teams showing great determination and skill, but it was Arsenal who quickly took control of the game.

With their precision passing and clinical finishing, Arsenal dominated the field from start to finish. Goals from Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Bukayo Saka, and Alexandre Lacazette left Burnley's defense scrambling to keep up.

Captain Martin Ødegaard was the Gunners' orchestrator in chief throughout and he got the visitors off to a flying start when he finished from the edge of the area to net his 28th goal for the club. Bukayo Saka then doubled Arsenal's advantage when he converted from the penalty spot after Leandro Trossard had been upended by Lorenz Assignon.

They were far too good for a Burnley side hurtling towards relegation and once Martin Odegaard opened the scoring in the fourth minute the result was a formality.

Bukayo Saka made it 2-0 from the penalty spot in the 41st and Saka struck again just after the break for his 12th league goal of the campaign.

Leandro Trossard made it 4-0 and Kai Havertz added a fifth as Arsenal sent out another big title statement.

Martinelli’s second assist this season, but even though Arsenal’s forwards have been berated for a lack of output; the 22 year-old from the state of São Paulo has scored three goals in his last five games, as the Gunners are hitting form when it matters. They now sit just two points behind league leaders Liverpool and they have the best goal difference in the league.

Arsenal have won back-to-back PremierPINC -1.4% League games away from home against West Ham and Burnley, scoring 11 goals and racking up two clean-sheets in the process. That comes off the back of that huge win at home to Liverpool too and makes it five wins on the bounce, so the Arsenal title charge is certainly gaining momentum.

Struggling Burnley – who had midfielder Aaron Ramsey carried off in the second half with a potentially serious knee injury – have 13 points from 25 matches and remain second bottom, seven points from safety.
