Hovey, Walz earn MAC Player Of The Week honors ...Middle East

Monday afternoon, Bowling Green’s Lauryn Hovey was named the Mid-American Conference East Offensive Player of the Week and Jaden Walz was named the MAC Setter of the Week. For Hovey, this marks her fifth time this season receiving the award this season and the seventh time of her career. As for Walz, this is her second recognition of the season and fifth of her career. Hovey had an incredible weekend for the Falcons, leading BGSU to two wins over Buffalo to clinch a spot in the MAC Tournament. Hovey started the weekend with 26 kills in four sets, her second 20-kill match of the season. In the process, she maintained a .380 attack percentage and narrowly missed a double-double with nine digs.
