Madonna invited one very lucky fan for a visit to her incredible walk-in closet.
Luckily, fashion influencer Lyas filmed his entire walkthrough with Madonna at her New York City home and shared the footage via Instagram on Thursday, May 8. The clip features Lyas and the “Ray of Light” singer discussing the evolution of fashion.
Decked out in a white suit made by Tom Ford and Haider Ackermann for the Meta Gala, Madonna smoked a cigar as she reflected on her heyday of seeing designers John Galliano and Jean Paul Gaultier’s classic runway shows in Paris.
“Those were the best [days]. They’ll never be like that again,” Madonna, 66, reminisced. “[Fashion] has changed a lot. I felt really special going to a fashion show … I miss that deep dive into culture that used to be part of fashion shows. I don’t think people have the luxury to do that anymore.”
Asked if she thought it was “better to be gay to work in fashion,” Madonna didn’t hesitate in responding, “It’s a must. What are you talking about? If you’re not gay and you’re working in fashion, you need to become gay.”
While the pair discussed the future of fashion, viewers got an unparalleled look into one truly impressive walk-in closet, decked out with racks of couture pieces that would rival any collection in the world.
The incredible footage follows on the heels of Madonna sharing a PDA-filled glimpse into her relationship with her rumored boyfriend, 29-year-old footballer Akeem Morris, in celebration of his birthday last week. The pair were first linked in 2024 after spending the July 4 holiday together.

Madonna also recently marked another major milestone when she ended her decades’ long feud with Elton John. The pair made peace when Elton was performing on Saturday Night Live in April.
“I remembered when I was in high school — I snuck out of the house one night to see Elton perform live in Detroit! It was an unforgettable performance that helped me understand the transformative power of music,” Madonna wrote via Instagram. “Seeing him perform when I was in high school changed the course of my life. I had always felt like an outsider growing up and watching him on stage helped me to understand that it was OK to be different-to stand out- to take the road, less traveled by. In fact, it was essential.”
The legendary singer went on, “Over the decades it hurt me to know that someone I admired so much shared his dislike of me publicly as an artist. I didn’t understand it. I was told Elton John was the musical guest on SNL and I decided to go. I needed to go backstage and confront him . When I met him, the first thing out of his mouth was, ‘Forgive Me’ and the wall between us fell down. Forgiveness is a powerful tool. Within minutes. We were hugging.”
