Arjun Menon, who was the operations manager of Cricket Malawi since February 2020, was brutally murdered at his residence on May 10. The development was made public by Dr Henry Kamata, chief executive officer of Malawi’s National Council of Sports, on 11th May.
SCA president Mahmood Gaznavi was also made aware of the development, and he was left deeply saddened by the incident, saying that his life was taken by dubious people, and he also talked about his love for the game. He said:

Gaznavi, who last spoke to Menon about three months ago, said that the latter used his knowledge to advance in the game. He also pointed out how he helped people outside of cricket, especially the underprivileged. He said:
Arjun Menon started playing cricket during his school days at St Patrick’s School. Playing as a wicketkeeper batter, he then represented Singapore at the youth level. Before making his debut for the National Team in 1886 against the United Arab Emirates at the Asian Cricket Council Trophy.
His legacy lives on in the players he shaped and the communities he uplifted across continents - SCA
Singapore Cricket Association released the official statement on his feat and said: "His career reflected his unwavering dedication to the development of cricket, both at home and abroad. A passionate ambassador for Singapore cricket, he carried the Singapore flag with pride wherever he coached. And Malawi, where he passed on, was the beneficiary of his cricket contribution.
