San Andreas, CA…Vitalant (formerly BloodSource) will host the Calaveras Community blood drive to meet the community’s need for blood and blood products. There is currently a severe national blood shortage and all blood types are needed. There is no deferral if donors have received a COVID-19 vaccine as long as they know which vaccine was administered. The blood drive is sponsored by the Calaveras Community Foundation. To ensure sufficient social distancing donors are encouraged to make an appointment by calling Vitalant at 866-822-5663 or go to donors.vitalant.org, then choose Advanced Search and use blood drive code SMFM399.
