A Boeing 737 cargo plane had to land in the Pacific off Honolulu, CNBC reported, citing the Federal Aviation Administration. Both pilots are reported safe. The emergency landing occurred after the plane experienced engine troubles shortly after takeoff in Honolulu, the Federal Aviation Administration told CNBC, who was the first to report the incident. The plane had attempted to return to the airport but didn’t make it. “According to preliminary information, the US Coast Guard rescued both crew members,” the FAA added.
