Odisha Government’s ‘Drink from Tap Mission’ under the 5T initiative has won the “Award of Excellence” at the 18th CSI SIG eGovernance Award 2020 for Smart Water Management. The project was among the 178 nominations that was received across India. Managing Director of WATCO Er. Pradipta Kumar Swain received the award on behalf of the State Government at an award ceremony held in Lucknow. ‘Drink from Tap Mission’ called ‘Sujal’ was launched by Chief Minster Naveen Patnaik in October 2020. The aim was to provide assured quality drinking water fit for direct consumption from the Tap to all households in urban areas.
