Georgia won a fierce recruiting battle for 4-star wide receiver Craig Dandridge, getting a commitment from the in-state prize on Thursday.
The 6-foot-1, 175-pounder out of Alpharetta (Ga.) Cambridge announced his commitment to Georgia during a hat ceremony at his high school, where he currently stars. Not only did Kirby Smart get the big-time wideout he was seeking for the 2026 season, but he also kept Dandridge away from the SEC rival schools who were after him, too. Tennessee was heavily in the mix for Dandridge, along with Florida and Oklahoma.
Georgia Tech and Stanford were also after Dandridge, who was jubilant on social media on Thursday afternoon, writing: “Thank you God, we staying home! Go Dawgs”
In addition to the Bulldogs hat, Dandridge also revealed a red Georgia shirt underneath his jacket during the commitment ceremony.

— Hayes Fawcett (@Hayesfawcett3) June 26, 2025According to the 247Sports Composite rankings, Dandridge is the 237th-ranked player in the Class of 2026. Dandridge is also the 38th-ranked wide receiver and the 26th-ranked player from the state of Georgia.
Dandridge was also a big recruiting victory for Smart and the Bulldogs following the decommitment of 4-star wide receiver Vance Spafford, who flipped to Miami. Now, Georgia has filled that hole created by Spafford’s flip with a huge in-state prize who is coming off a phenomenal junior season.
Dandridge had 58 catches for 1,443 yards and 14 touchdowns last fall.
He gives the Dawgs’ top-5 class its 22nd known commitment in the 2026 cycle. You can view his highlight tape below, via Hudl:
